A fire broke out at a vehicle battery repair shop in Nammae-ri, Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, at around 2:20 AM today (August 20), and was extinguished after about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The fire completely burned down a 400-square-meter building and destroyed vehicle batteries inside, resulting in an estimated 400 million won in property damage, according to the fire department.
Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
