The Iranian military has issued a strong warning to neighboring countries in the Gulf region, urging them not to support any U.S. attacks targeting Iran.
According to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB and other sources on the 19th (local time), Ali Abdollahi, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, posted on social media X, stating, "Southern coastal countries of the Persian Gulf that issue statements claiming they will not allow their territories to be used against Iran must know that nothing can escape our surveillance network."
Abdollahi also emphasized, "It is highly unlikely that such a large number of military aircraft, especially aerial refuelers, would be stationed at regional bases without the knowledge of the host countries."
He further warned that "any support or provision of convenience to aggressive U.S. forces will be regarded as joining the U.S. military action."
Since the outbreak of the war following U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on February 28, Iran has repeatedly launched attacks targeting U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.
In addition, according to the British daily Financial Times, Iran has recently considered plans to strike U.S. assets beyond the Middle East in Europe, in preparation for a potential escalation of the war by the Donald Trump administration.
The newspaper reported that U.S. assets in Eastern European countries such as Bulgaria, which have approved the use of air bases by U.S. refueling aircraft, as well as Cyprus, which hosts British military bases, were included in Iran's potential targets for war expansion.
