Singer G.NA has signaled her official return to activities by taking on the role of special host for a K-pop event in Canada.
The official account of the Kimchi & K-Food Festival announced G.NA's appearance on its official social media on the 19th. The festival introduced her, stating, "Korean-Canadian artist G.NA, who has been active on the K-pop stage, will join as the special host for the 2026 Kimchi Festival K-POP Dance Championship. It will be a special time to cheer on the participants' passion and challenges toward the stage and create the passionate energy of K-pop together with the audience."
In the post, G.NA directly expressed her intention to participate by leaving a comment saying, "Can't wait." The K-POP Dance Championship, where G.NA will serve as host, is a side event of the "2026 Kimchi & K-Food Festival" taking place on the 28th at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The organizers expect over 100,000 visitors for the event, making it the largest Korean food and culture festival in Western Canada.
This move is drawing even more attention as it is an extension of the comeback signals G.NA has been showing over the past few months. Previously, G.NA announced her return to the music scene through her social media in June by sharing news of a remake of her debut song "I'll Get Lost, You Go Your Way."
G.NA began her career in 2010 with her debut song "I'll Get Lost, You Go Your Way" and gained popularity with multiple hit songs such as "Black & White" and "Top Girl." However, she practically suspended her activities after being sentenced to a fine in 2016 for violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Sexual Traffic, and has since been known to live mainly in Canada. G.NA has repeatedly stated her position that all the charges were rumors.
