Jung Hae-in showed a surprisingly organized side to his "P" (perceiving) personality.
On the August 18 broadcast of SBS's
Whenever Possible
, actors Jung Hae-in and Heo Sung-tae appeared as "gap friends."
During the broadcast, the Yoo-Yoo brothers warmly welcomed the gap friends. When Jung Hae-in mentioned that he lived in Dongjak-gu for 30 years, Yoo Yeonseok shared, "I also did my military service here," bringing up stories from his army days.
In response, Yu Jae-seok expressed exhaustion, saying, "You never fail to bring up Sejong University whenever talking about your military service." Yoo Yeonseok looked flustered and replied, "Well, it's something I can talk about, right?"
Yu Jae-seok remarked, "Sejong University should give you an award. Other than King Sejong, no one has promoted Sejong University as much as Yeonseok." This drew laughter when Yoo Yeonseok revealed, "Actually, I received an invitation to host an event for Hangul Day."
After failing the first gap mission, the four decided to go out for lunch, led by Dongjak-gu's own Jung Hae-in.
Jung Hae-in found a restaurant serving cold buckwheat noodles (naeng-memil) and tonkatsu. Before heading over, he called the restaurant to check if dining and filming were possible.
Yu Jae-seok expressed admiration, saying, "For a P-type, Haein is quite methodical." While on their way, the four spotted a shaved ice (patbingsu) shop and decided on their dessert in advance.
Suddenly, Jung Hae-in disappeared for a moment. He had gone to the shaved ice shop to check its business hours. Expressing disappointment that the hours didn't match their schedule, Jung Hae-in immediately tracked down another shaved ice shop.
Arriving at the cold buckwheat noodle and tonkatsu restaurant, Jung Hae-in introduced the next stop, saying, "This place was featured on
Live Information
. It has 1,200 reviews. And the shaved ice place is right in the next alley."
The Yoo-Yoo brothers marveled, "Haein really likes finding places like this." Jung Hae-in caught attention by sharing, "I was so happy when senior Lee Young-ja gave me her 'Daedong Food Map' before. It's currently kept in my safe."
Jung Hae-in explained, "It's handwritten on thick paper, and you can really see the genuine care put into it." Hearing this, Yu Jae-seok commented, "That means she really holds Haein dear."
After finishing the meal, Yu Jae-seok was in such high spirits from the delicious food that he even forgot about failing the gap mission. Heo Sung-tae also expressed his gratitude, saying, "It's all thanks to Haein."
However, there were no exceptions when it came to paying for the meal. They decided to determine who would pay through a wasabi-water roulette game by hiding a cup filled with wasabi water.
The one who picked the losing meal bill was Jung Hae-in. Despite trying to hold it in, the uncontrollable spiciness brought tears to his eyes, creating a humorous scene.
After finishing lunch, the four headed to the shaved ice shop. However, it was fully booked and entry was denied. Amidst his flustered colleagues, Jung Hae-in gazed intently somewhere before quickly spotting a cup-bingsu (cup shaved ice) place and running toward it. He immediately checked for empty seats, bringing laughter to everyone.
Meanwhile, near the end of the broadcast, the upcoming appearance of Cha Taehyun—who visits as a gap friend every season—was teased, raising anticipation for the next episode.
