4-Ton Cargo Truck Overturns at Gimhae Drowsy Driving Rest Area on Namhae Expressway; Driver Sent to Hospital

At 5:51 a.m. today (August 19), a 4-ton cargo truck overturned at the Gimhae Drowsy Driving Rest Area on the Namhae Expressway bound for Suncheon in Jeonha-dong, Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do.

In the accident, the truck driver, a man in his 30s identified as A, complained of pain and was transported to a hospital.

Police investigations showed that the truck crashed into an impact attenuator and tipped over onto its right side while A was entering the rest area.

A was found not to have been driving under the influence or without a license.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
