Musical actor Ivy (real name Park Eun-hye, 43) has successfully completed her Broadway debut stage.
On the 18th (Korean time), Ivy posted a video on her social media capturing a scene from 'Chicago' with the caption "Ivy Broadway." In the video, Ivy is moving skillfully across the stage with a male actor, delivering a captivating performance.
Prior to this, Ivy shared a photo of her face displayed on a billboard in New York's Times Square, leaving the message, "Mom, I'm on a Broadway billboard." The billboard featured phrases such as "SEE IT THIS WEEK! CHICAGO," "IVY IS ROXIE HART," "NOW THRU SEPT 6," and "AMBASSADOR THEATRE," announcing her Broadway debut. Ivy also revealed a selfie taken in her dressing room, where makeup supplies bearing her name tag stood out.
Ivy will take the stage as the lead role of Roxie Hart in Broadway's 'Chicago' at the Ambassador Theatre in New York for a three-week run until September 6. This marks the first time a Korean actor has played the lead role of Roxie Hart in Broadway's 'Chicago.' Since 2012, Ivy has performed the same role 592 times in the Korean licensed production, establishing herself as an iconic actor for Roxie Hart.
Following the conclusion of her Broadway performances, Ivy is scheduled to return to the 'Chicago' stage in Korea starting this December at the LG Arts Center Seoul.
