The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPAE) announced today (August 18) that they have selected 175 companies to receive support under the "SME Smart Service Project," which assists small and medium-sized enterprises with their artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.

This project is designed to help SMEs in service sectors develop business models based on AI and digital technologies, and to improve service quality in areas such as logistics management and marketing.

New participating companies will receive up to 50 million won, while companies advancing existing solutions will receive up to 100 million won.

The Ministry selected the supported companies after conducting document and on-site evaluations of 545 applicant enterprises.

By sector, the selected companies include distribution (50), information and communications (39), and science and technology services (34).

Companies in the growth stage that have been in business for more than seven years accounted for 53% of the total.

After signing agreements with TIPAE, these companies will build their smart service solutions over a period of six months.
