Hip-hop legends and married couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mi-rae are reuniting on a single track for the first time in eight years.
Tiger JK (52) and Yoon Mi-rae (45) will release their new song "Let Me Love You" on the 20th. This marks their first collaboration on a single track since "I Love You Too," a track from Drunken Tiger's final full-length album "Drunken Tiger X: Rebirth Of Tiger JK" released in November 2018. At the time, the two appeared together in the music video, showcasing their sweet chemistry, and the track has continued to be celebrated by fans as one of the couple's signature duets.
"Let Me Love You" is a new experiment that departs from the R&B and hip-hop framework they have showcased thus far. Both artists participated directly in the lyric writing and composing, hinting at a sound with a rich seasonal vibe tailored to the tail end of summer. As this is a new sound presented by two artists who have long expanded the horizons of popular music, anticipation is high.
The song captures the flutter of someone who has been by your side for a long time suddenly approaching you in a new light, and the feelings of a love starting over. The fact that it is a love song sung together by a real-life married couple is another key point to watch.
In conjunction with the new release, the couple will open a pop-up store to showcase new brand merchandise and apparel together. They are also scheduled to take the stage at "WATERBOMB," a major summer music festival, continuing active summer promotions alongside their single release.
Tiger JK and Yoon Mi-rae got married in 2007 and welcomed their son Jordan in August of the following year.
