Seo Gyo-rim has captured her third victory of the season on the KLPGA Tour, staging a thrilling comeback against her same-age rival and fellow 2006-born player Kim Min-sol, who had been leading until the previous day.
Starting the final round in fourth place and three strokes behind the leader Kim Min-sol, Seo relentlessly pursued the top spot, carding five birdies without a single bogey through the 11th hole.
The match turned dramatically on the par-5 14th hole when Kim Min-sol made a crucial mistake.
After her tee shot went into the woods on the right, she declared an unplayable lie, took a one-stroke penalty, and ultimately recorded a double bogey, handing the lead to Seo.
Seo sealed her victory by sinking a 5-meter birdie putt on the final 18th hole.
With a final total of 18-under par, Seo finished two strokes ahead of Kim Min-sol. The victory earned Seo her third win of the season, tying her with Kim for the most wins this season while propelling her into sole possession of first place in the Player of the Year standings.
