Singer Lyn’s Mother Opens Up About Her Divorce on 'My Little Old Boy'

Singer Lyn's mother confessed about the things she felt disappointed about regarding Lyn.

On the August 16 broadcast of SBS's "My Little Old Boy", Lyn was shown traveling with her mother.

On this day, Lyn headed to Sokcho with her mother. In particular, this trip drew attention as it was their first trip together alone.

After finishing a Michelin tour led by Lyn, her mother headed to their final destination, a Sokcho ocean view hotel.

However, no hotel was in sight upon arrival. The ocean view hotel prepared by Lyn was actually a trunk hotel utilizing the trunk of her own car.

There, they ate food bought from the Sokcho market with her mother. With delivery food also prepared, a Sokcho squid feast was set up.

Enjoying the squid feast while taking in the ocean, Lyn said, "It would have been nice if Dad and my sister had come too." Naturally, the mother and daughter shared an honest conversation.

Asking her mother, who worried about her, not to worry too much, Lyn said, "I am so grateful to Mom, but Mom probably doesn't have anything to thank me for, right?"

In response, her mother smiled and said, "I gave birth to you, but I sometimes wonder how I managed to have such a daughter. Thank you for treating me so well. You are doing great."

Then Lyn said, "Tell me what you felt disappointed about with me, and I will fix it." Hearing this, her mother hesitated for a long time. Then she carefully opened up.

Lyn's mother mentioned Lyn's divorce, saying, "I was flustered and shocked because you just came and did that without even talking about it beforehand."

She continued, "Even if divorce isn't considered a stigma these days, a parent's heart isn't like that. It's best if you live well together, but at the same time, I wondered how much you must have struggled to make that choice," expressing her heartache for her daughter.

In response, Lyn promised, "Mom, I will live even better." Hearing this, her mother showed her trust in her daughter by saying, "I know. Mom believes in you."
