A 6-year-old child has fallen to his death from an apartment building, prompting a police investigation.

According to the Incheon Bupyeong Police Station today (August 16), at around 9:00 p.m. yesterday, a report was filed with 112 by parents stating that their 6-year-old son, identified as A, had gone missing from their 15th-floor apartment unit in Incheon.

Police dispatched upon receiving the report searched the inside and outside of the apartment complex along with the parents, and found child A dead in a flower bed near the apartment at around 9:30 p.m.

Police believe that child A fell through an apartment window and plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to investigate the exact cause of death.

A police official stated, "We currently do not see any signs of foul play," adding, "We plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the fall."
