The death toll from the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck off the coast of Indonesia's Flores Island has risen to 47.
The Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) stated that 47 bodies have been recovered so far, and 50 injured people have been transported to hospitals.
It also reported that 157 homes were completely destroyed and 189 others were damaged in various parts of Flores Island due to the earthquake.
Indonesian meteorological authorities stated that at least 235 aftershocks have occurred since the initial magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the previous day, with the largest aftershock recorded at magnitude 6.2.
