Rain is pouring down intensely at a rate of 30mm per hour in Seoul and 50mm per hour in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Jeju is expecting heavy rain driven by a low-pressure system, prompting a heavy rain advisory.
Heavy rainfall of 50 to 150mm is expected to concentrate in the southern regions through the day after tomorrow (August 17).
In particular, strong southerly winds will bring torrential downpours exceeding 200mm to the southern coast and mountainous areas of Jeju.
Showers currently falling in the central regions will continue in various places until tonight.
Rain caused by the low-pressure system is expected to expand nationwide by tomorrow morning.
Please stay alert for localized heavy downpours of up to 50mm per hour along the southern coast and in Jeju.
This rain will continue until Monday morning (August 17).
