LG Twins foreign hitter Austin Dean has reignited the race for the home run title.
Austin hit his 32nd home run of the season during an away game against the Kiwoom Heroes in the 2026 professional baseball league held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on August 13.
With the score tied at 4-4 in the top of the 5th inning with runners on first and second and no outs, he hit Kiwoom starting pitcher Raul Alcantara's 2nd pitch, an outside high fastball, sending it over the right-field wall.
With this home run, Austin narrowed the gap with the league's top home run leader, KIA Tigers' Kim Do-young (34 home runs), to just two.
This was Austin's first home run in 14 days, since the game against Kiwoom on July 30.
