A man has been arrested by police on charges of visiting a store operated by a woman and threatening her while holding a blunt weapon.
The Anyang Manan Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced today (August 13) that it has sought an arrest warrant for a man in his 70s, designated as A, on charges of special intimidation and violation of the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes.
A is accused of going to a store run by a woman in her 60s, designated as B, at around 8:00 PM yesterday and threatening her with a blunt weapon.
A subsequently fled on a bicycle but was arrested by police officers who rushed to the scene following a report from B.
Investigations revealed that a few hours prior to the crime, A had visited B's store and damaged fixtures, prompting a previous report to the police.
