On the 6th (Korean time), Park Si-hyun wrote a new chapter in South Korean shot put history by winning the silver medal in the men's shot put at the 2026 World U-20 Athletics Championships.
Returning home via Incheon International Airport yesterday (the 11th), Park shared his bold aspirations, stating, "Setting a new Korean record will be entirely possible soon."
He also added, "The true charm of shot put lies in the thrilling tension where medals are decided by a mere 1 to 2 centimeters," while asking for continued interest and support for the event.
