Actor Lee Joon-hyuk returns as a unique Korean office worker who chooses to go to work instead of submitting a resignation letter, even after pocketing 1.3 billion won from winning the top prize in the lottery.
The production team of the TVING original series "Going to Work Even After Winning 1st Place in Lotto" (directed and written by Yoon Young-bin) released a teaser poster and trailer on the 12th capturing the transformed daily life of Gong Eun-tae (played by Lee Joon-hyuk), who wins the lottery.
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, "Going to Work Even After Winning 1st Place in Lotto" is a K-office drama depicting the story of team leader Gong Eun-tae, who struggles day by day under pressure from above and below, only to head to work with a different mindset after winning 1.3 billion won from the lottery instead of turning in a resignation letter. Directed by Yoon Young-bin of the film "Gangnam Blues", the drama features talented actors including Lee Joon-hyuk, Seo Hyun-woo, and Oh Dae-hwan.
The released teaser poster draws attention with a first-place lottery winning ticket placed next to an ordinary employee ID card, along with the twist catchphrase "Going to work instead of quitting!" In the accompanying trailer, Gong Eun-tae portrays a grueling routine enduring the crowded hell-subway and pressure from superiors and subordinates, but after winning 1.3 billion won, his eyes sparkle as he declares, "I'm going to turn this company upside down," previewing a refreshing retaliation.
Gong Eun-tae, played by Lee Joon-hyuk, is the youngest team leader of Sales Team 5 who has fiercely endured everything for a trouble-free life, but undergoes a major change in his attitude toward work and life following the unexpected fortune of winning the top lottery prize. His upbeat steps, as he finally begins to see work and people now that he has money, are expected to deliver deep empathy and pleasant catharsis to viewers.
"Going to Work Even After Winning 1st Place in Lotto" will be exclusively pre-released on TVING at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, and will air on tvN starting Monday, September 14, every Monday and Tuesday at 9:00 PM.
