Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, has tied the knot with his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez, 32, after a 10-year relationship.
According to U.S. media outlets including ESPN on today (the 12th), the world-renowned Portuguese football star held his wedding to model Rodriguez in Cascais, Portugal, on the 11th (local time).
The ceremony was held on a small scale, attended by the couple's five children.
Ronaldo announced the marriage on his social media, sharing a photo of the couple side by side wearing wedding rings, accompanied by a short caption of their initials connected by a heart.
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodriguez announced their engagement via Instagram on August 12 of last year.
At the time, Rodriguez shared a photo placing her hand over Ronaldo's to highlight a large oval diamond ring, writing in Spanish, "Yes. In this life, and in every lifetime," to share the news of their engagement.
The couple raises five children together: twins Eva Maria and Mateo (9), daughter Alana (8), daughter Bella (4), and Ronaldo's eldest son, Ronaldo Jr. (16), whom he had from a previous relationship.
The relationship between Ronaldo and Rodriguez dates back to 2016.
At the time, Ronaldo first met Rodriguez while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci luxury boutique.
The two began dating immediately and went public with their relationship the following year in 2017.
Ronaldo reflected on the early days of their romance in Rodriguez's Netflix reality series "I Am Georgina," released in 2022.
Recalling Rodriguez back then, he shared, "She was a woman much more mature than her age and very interesting," while also confessing, "I didn't expect this relationship to last this long."
Ronaldo is a global star who has played for prestigious European professional football clubs including Real Madrid (Spain), Manchester United (England), and Juventus (Italy).
Recently, he stepped onto the World Cup stage for the sixth time in his career, tying the record for the most appearances in men's World Cup history alongside his "rival" Lionel Messi (Argentina).
Currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, he tied the knot just four days before the new season opener of his club's league.
