Our national team has advanced to the round of 16 as the group leaders after securing their fifth consecutive win at the FIVB U-17 Girls' Volleyball World Championship.

Having cruised through four straight wins, our national team faced no real challenge from Algeria, who sat at the bottom of the group with four consecutive losses.
Right from the start of the first set, stellar performances from Son Seo-yeon and Jang Su-in propelled the team to eight consecutive points, successfully seizing the initiative.
Dominating Algeria throughout, the national team comfortably claimed the first set 25 to 10, a massive 15-point margin.
Although head coach Lee Seung-yeo rested primary hitter Son Seo-yeon starting from the second set, the team's momentum did not waver.
Tied 9 to 9 in the second set, the team captured the momentum by scoring four straight points, and without allowing a comeback, took the second set 25 to 17.
Having secured the upper hand, the national team focused on testing their depth by heavily deploying players who had not yet seen much action.
As Uhm Min-seo hammered home the final 25th point with a powerful spike, our national team completed a 3 to 0 shutout victory in just one hour and two minutes.
Jang Su-in led both teams with a match-high 13 points, while Uhm Min-seo contributed 12 points to secure the victory.
Finishing the group stage in first place with five consecutive wins, the national team will play their round of 16 match against the fourth-place team of Group B tomorrow (August 13).
