A passenger car and a dump truck have collided head-on on a national highway in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The accident occurred after the passenger car crossed the center line, resulting in the deaths of three people in their 20s who were inside the vehicle.

On a national highway in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, early this morning (August 11).
An SUV collides head-on with a large dump truck coming from the opposite direction.
Sparks and smoke rose from the heavy impact at the time of the crash. Nearby CCTV footage captured both vehicles traveling at high speeds right up until the moment of the collision.
The accident occurred at around 4:50 AM in Samjuk-myeon, Anseong, when a vehicle driven by a man in his 20s, surnamed A, crossed the center line and struck a 25.5-ton dump truck.

The dump truck, which collided with the vehicle that violated the center line, came to a stop about 40 meters away from the point of impact.

Three people in their 20s, including driver A and a man and a woman in the backseat, all died. The truck driver, a man in his 60s, was also transported to the hospital.
According to police investigations, A and his companions were college students who were on their way home after shooting a film until early morning at a nearby movie set.
The dump truck driver was confirmed not to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Police are conducting an alcohol test on the deceased driver A while investigating the exact cause of the accident, including why the vehicle crossed the center line.
