Three people in their 20s died early this morning (August 11) at around 4:50 AM in a head-on collision between a passenger car and a dump truck on a national highway across from Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The accident occurred when a car driven by a person in their 20s, identified as A, crossed the centerline and collided with a dump truck coming from the opposite direction.
The crash resulted in the deaths of three occupants in the same car, including driver A, another man in his 20s, and a woman in her 20s.
A police official stated, "It appears the accident happened as the vehicle crossed the centerline for an unspecified reason," adding, "The driver of the dump truck also sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital."
Police are currently investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the accident.
