Health authorities have launched an epidemiological investigation following reports of suspected food poisoning at an employee cafeteria in Everland, located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
The Yongin Public Health Center dispatched personnel to the scene to conduct an investigation after receiving reports that around 40 employees who dined at the Everland employee cafeteria showed symptoms suspected of food poisoning, such as abdominal pain.
The number of symptomatic individuals stands at 45 so far, and health authorities are examining whether any issues occurred during the food preparation process.
Everland stated that it reported the employees' stomach ailments to the health center and the local government on August 9, and that it is investigating the exact cause.
