Three people in their 20s died early this morning (August 11) in a head-on collision between a passenger car and a dump truck on National Route 38, across from Donga Institute of Media and Arts in Samjuk-myeon, Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The accident occurred around 4:50 a.m. when an Orlando passenger car driven by a person in their 20s, identified as A, crossed the centerline for unknown reasons while traveling straight from Iljuk IC toward Anseong, crashing into a dump truck coming from the opposite direction.
The crash resulted in the deaths of driver A and two other passengers in the same vehicle—another man and a woman, both in their 20s.
The relationship among the three victims has not been confirmed.
A police official stated, "It appears the accident happened as the Orlando vehicle crossed the centerline for an unknown reason," adding, "The dump truck driver was also injured and transported to the hospital."
Police are currently investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the accident.
