A man in his 60s suspected of killing an acquaintance with a weapon at a baduk (Go) parlor has been arrested.
Judge Park Sa-rang, the duty judge for warrants at the Seoul Northern District Court, held a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) at 10:30 a.m. today (August 10) for the man in his 60s, surnamed Jeon, who faces murder charges, and issued the arrest warrant, stating that there are concerns of evidence destruction and flight.
Jeon is accused of swinging a weapon during an argument with an acquaintance, a man in his 60s, at a baduk parlor in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu, at around 10:45 p.m. on August 8.
Police dispatched after receiving a report from a witness arrested Jeon at the scene.
It was confirmed that Jeon was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime, and the victim was transported to a hospital but ultimately died.
