JUNNY Talks Learning Choreography from Dancer no:ze and Working on New Album

Artist JUNNY appeared on a radio broadcast to share stories about his recent activities and the production process behind his new music.

Appearing on the August 10 broadcast of KBS Cool FM's "Paul Kim's Volume Up," JUNNY delivered a live performance and talked about various musical topics.

As a singer-songwriter and producer who has collaborated with EXO, IU, SHINee member TAEMIN, and more, JUNNY discussed the background of his single "Heaven Can Wait," released in June. He explained that he infused the track with a quiet luxury sensibility, sharing, "While working on the song, I wanted to understand subtle sophistication even better, so I studied by visiting fine dining restaurants and art museums. It is a track designed to offer a refreshing cool feeling during the hot summer."

He also revealed an anecdote related to the song title. Expressing his affection for "Heaven Can Wait," which shares its title with a song by Michael Jackson, he said, "I felt it was destiny." He also shared that he personally learned choreography for the music video shoot. He stated, "Dancer no:ze helped me out. She tailored all the movements and angles to fit me. I hypnotized myself and worked really hard."

During the subsequent live performance, JUNNY sang "Heaven Can Wait" in person. Watching this, host Paul Kim reacted by saying, "You look like someone who used to dance. I thought you were a former trainee."

On this day, JUNNY also shared news that he was promoted to a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association for 2026 and revealed that he is currently working on a new album.

Meanwhile, JUNNY is currently on a world tour based on his second full-length album "null" released last year. Following stops in Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia, he successfully wrapped up his first domestic solo concert in Seoul in June, and after performing in three South American cities in August, he is scheduled to continue his tour in Tokyo, Japan, on September 27.
