SBS's signature healing variety show "Whenever Possible" is returning with a new season after four months, featuring Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok's unchanging, fantastic chemistry.
Aired for its season premiere on Tuesday, August 11, at 9 PM, "Whenever Possible" features the "Two-Yoo MCs" Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok firing a cheerful signal flare for Season 5.
"Whenever Possible" is a "gap-targeting" variety show that gifts a moment of luck during brief breaks in everyday life. During the previous Season 4, it received passionate love from viewers by ranking first in the 2049 viewership ratings in its same time slot for all episodes and taking first place overall among Tuesday variety shows for 15 consecutive weeks.
Meeting again ahead of the Season 5 premiere, Yu Jae-seok delivered a welcoming greeting to viewers, saying, "You've waited a long time. Thanks to you watching 'Whenever Possible,' we are back."
During casual talk, when news of Yoo Yeon-seok winning the "SBS Special Award" was shared, Yu Jae-seok's teasing instinct kicked into gear. When Yoo Yeon-seok shared his thoughts by saying, "It seems like it was given as a form of encouragement. Thank you to SBS," Yu Jae-seok immediately tackled him by saying, "This is a whipping award. It's a mix of encouragement and a whip," sending those around him into laughter.
Following this, the two carried out an impromptu street stage greeting role-play to commemorate the new season. Yu Jae-seok stepped onto a small podium, saying, "We should also go out and greet our viewers," and Yoo Yeon-seok naturally joined in, waving and greeting imaginary audience members to turn the scene into a sea of laughter.
Featuring Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok, who boasted perfect chemistry from the start, along with actors Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hoyeon stepping out as the first "gap friends," the first episode of SBS "Whenever Possible" Season 5 will air on Tuesday, August 11, at 9 PM.
