People Power Party Representative Chang Dong-hyuk criticized the youth policies of the Lee Jae-myung administration, stating, "There is no answer to finding hope for the youth other than a regime change."
Representative Chang wrote on his social media this morning, "President Lee Jae-myung stated that 'there should be no case where people hesitate to marry because of state policies' and promised to rectify the 22 'marriage penalties.' However, it is President Lee and this administration that created those very 'marriage penalties.'"
He continued, "It was this administration's 'June 27 Real Estate Measures' that reduced limits and tightened regulations on Dipddol loans and Beoteumok loans," pointing out, "In the end, they are now offering to loosen what they themselves blocked in the first place."
Representative Chang argued, "What young people want is not simply to make it easier to get loans," adding, "Much less are they demanding that money be handed out as if doing a favor."
He added, "What they are asking for is labor market reforms so that companies can create many good jobs for youth, the establishment of a proper financial market to prevent lives from being ruined by stocks, and sound real estate policies so that people can buy their own homes if they work hard."
Representative Chang also emphasized, "This is an administration that puts out policies like 'abandoned bus youth housing,' meaning there is no other answer than a regime change."
