Hong Jin-ho is set to draw laughs on "Running Man" with his noticeable weight gain.
In the upcoming episode of SBS's "Running Man" airing at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, Hong Jin-ho, making his 10th appearance on the show, and rising comedian Kim Ji-yu, making her first appearance, will join as guests for the "Let's Tour Around Jongno Together" race.
During the opening, Hong Jin-ho, who previously announced his successful diet during his last appearance, caught everyone's attention by returning with a fuller look after half a year. Seeing his changed appearance, the members endlessly teased him by asking, "Aren't you Shim Hyung-rae?", bringing immediate laughter from the start of the opening.
On the other hand, Kim Ji-yu, making her first appearance on "Running Man," instantly captivated the set with her exceptional variety show skills. Sharing her thoughts on appearing on the show, which had been a long-held wish of her parents, she boldly showed off her prepared "club flirting dance" personal talent. In particular, when she danced alongside Song Jihyo and Ji Ye-eun, Yu Jae-seok made a playful joke by saying, "It looks like aunts and older sisters gathering for the holidays," turning the set into a sea of laughter.
The race on this day will be conducted as a mission where the teams, divided into Yu Jae-seok's team and Kim Jong-kook's team, must be the first to complete the "Jongno Marble" board. Rules were applied where they had to write their names on balls acquired while performing missions across Jongno and put them into either the prize barrel or the penalty barrel.
It was reported that a fierce battle of wits and betrayal unfolded among the members as they tried to put their own names in the prize barrel and throw other members' names into the penalty barrel.
