With just one day left until the final decision, the romance lines on SBS's "Match to Marry 2" have fallen into unimaginable chaos.
On the 7th episode of the SBS variety show "Match to Marry 2", which aired on the 6th, tension escalated as the true feelings of the singles and their mothers clashed. The 7th episode recorded a peak viewership rating of 2.4% (based on households in the Seoul metropolitan area according to Nielsen Korea), with the scene where Kim Da-hye expressed her inner thoughts after finishing her final meeting with Kang Shin-woo's mother claiming the "best 1 minute."
On this day, Kim Da-hye met Kang Shin-woo and hinted at rejection, saying, "I want to meet someone with the same religion." However, Kang Shin-woo remained oblivious, repeatedly responding, "Isn't it part of the Lord's plan that someone I'm attracted to is non-religious?" He even went as far as blaming Kim Da-hye's distancing behavior on his own mother, drawing sighs from the hosts. Watching this, Seo Jang-hoon clearly diagnosed the situation, saying, "Shin-woo has lost his reason. Da-hye is simply not romantically attracted to Shin-woo."
During the subsequent "final meeting," Kim Da-hye shed tears as she told Kang Shin-woo's mother, "I have already cleared my mind. I am sorry." However, Kang Shin-woo's mother added to Kim Da-hye's burden by repeatedly asking, "I support the relationship between Shin-woo and Da-hye. Can I think positively about the two of them?" In response, host Lee Yo-won expressed empathy, saying, "I understand a mother's heart of doing her absolute best for her son until the very end."
Conflicts among other cast members also continued. Choi Jung-yoon emerged as the most popular woman, receiving aggressive advances from three men: announcer Lee In-kwon, attorney Kwon Ye-chan, and professional golfer Moon Sung-mo. Meanwhile, An Do-yoon, an employee at S Corporation, burst into tears and evoked sympathy after asking announcer Lee In-kwon—for whom she held feelings—out on a date, only to be rejected on the grounds of their "9-year age gap." Additionally, oriental medicine doctor Yang Ha-yoon locked horns in extreme conflict with her mother, who declared, "I will not have a final meeting," while opposing pharmaceutical company employee Kim Dong-young.
Amid the mothers' opposition and the mixed true feelings of the matching men and women, the final episode of "Match to Marry 2," which holds the key to the birth of the final couple, will air at 9 PM on Thursday, the 13th.
