The film 'Odyssey' has maintained the number one spot at the box office for two days in a row.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network on the 7th, 'Odyssey' attracted 245,794 moviegoers nationwide on the 6th. Its cumulative audience number reached 539,514.
After seizing the top spot at the box office on its opening day by beating 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', 'Odyssey' kept up its momentum for a second consecutive day. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' drew 237,605 viewers on the same day, engaging in a tight race with 'Odyssey'.
The two films, currently ranked first and second in advance ticket sales, are expected to engage in fierce competition for the top spot at theaters this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Korean film 'Hope' saw its daily audience drop to the 20,000 range (27,128 viewers) following the release of the two movies, flashing a red light on its path to breaking even.
