However, the actions of an airport security guard have sparked a controversy over racism.
In front of an airport boarding gate, a security guard is seen pulling the corners of their eyes sideways with both hands toward passengers.
This behavior, commonly known as an "eye-slanting" gesture directed at Chinese passengers, was captured at an airport in Bangkok, Thailand.
According to reports, some Chinese tourists attempted to follow a celebrity past the boarding gate without permission, and the security guard made the gesture while trying to stop them.
As the video spread rapidly online, heavy criticism poured in, condemning the act as racist.
The airport authorities issued an official apology, admitting that the behavior was inappropriate and mocked the passengers' appearance, and announced that they have immediately suspended the security guard and initiated disciplinary procedures.
