The KOSPI plunged by over 4% today (the 6th), falling back into the 6,200 range.
On this day, the KOSPI finished the session down 301.88 points, or 4.58%, at 6,296.38.
The previous day, the KOSPI had risen 3.76% to extend its winning streak for a second consecutive day, but turned downward after three days.
The KOSPI started the session down 119.51 points, or 1.81%, at 6,478.75 and widened its losses.
During the intraday trading, it tumbled by over 5% at one point, dropping as low as 6,238.32.
Amid the sharp market plunge, a KOSPI sell sidecar was triggered during the morning session.
On the other hand, the KOSDAQ index finished up 2.08 points, or 0.26%, at 801.67, extending its winning streak to five consecutive trading days.
