Autumn Comes with Jazz: Famous Jazz Vocalists to Visit Korea in Succession

Famous jazz vocalists are lined up to perform on stages in Korea this autumn.

On October 17, Michael Mayo, who is spotlighted as a next-generation jazz vocalist, will hold his first solo concert in Korea at Wonderloch Hall.

Michael Mayo is one of only three vocal students in the history of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, a world-renowned jazz educational institution, and delivers a unique live performance that builds his voice like a sophisticated instrument.

In February 2026, he was simultaneously nominated for Best Jazz Performance and Best Jazz Vocal Album with his second full-length album [FLY] at the Grammy Awards.

Previously, Michael Mayo met Korean audiences for the first time at the 2025 Seoul Jazz Festival, and this time he will hold a 90-minute solo concert.

This concert will feature an elite four-piece band that has worked closely with him for a long time on world-renowned stages such as NPR Tiny Desk.

On November 22, Diana Krall, a vocalist and pianist representing modern jazz, will take the stage at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.

Diana Krall is the only jazz artist to debut eight albums at number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.

She has won two U.S. Grammy Awards and 10 Canadian Juno Awards so far, and has earned gold (500,000 copies), platinum (1 million copies), and multi-platinum (2 million copies) album certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) 9 times, 3 times, and 7 times, respectively.

Diana Krall's concert is part of "Seoul Jazz Festival at the Theater," a concert series that expands the brand of the Seoul Jazz Festival (Seojaepe), which is held every spring, into the autumn season.

Diana Krall has shown outstanding capabilities not only in performance but also in composition, production, and arrangement, collaborating with world-renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, and Tony Bennett, while actively continuing her world tours across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
