A team leader-level official at the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Audit Committee, accused of sexually harassing a minor, has been forwarded to the prosecutors.
The Seoul Jungbu Police Station announced today (August 5) that it has forwarded a man in his 40s, identified as A and working for the Seoul city audit committee, to the prosecution on charges including the violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Youths against Sex Crimes.
A is suspected of meeting and sexually harassing a minor.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government suspended A from duty back in April after receiving notification that an investigation had been launched against him.
An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Government stated, "Depending on whether the prosecution decides to indict, we plan to convene a disciplinary committee in the future to deliberate on additional disciplinary measures."
