YENA opened up about her past battle with illness.
On the August 3 broadcast of the SBS program "Love Against Time", the cast members shared their personal illness diaries.
While listening to the stories of cast members who had experienced illnesses that day, Lee Seyoung turned to YENA and said, "I heard YENA was also sick when she was young."
In response, YENA shared, "I had childhood cancer, lymphoma. So I really relate to it, and it feels a bit strange in my heart," showing empathy for the other cast members' stories.
YENA also confessed, "Because I was sick all the time when I was little, my parents and people around me were upset, sorry, and falling apart, so I felt so sorry for all of it. I used to think a lot that it was my fault." She added, "Because a lot of hospital bills were needed, my parents always had to go to work, and I still remember that so it breaks my heart," drawing sympathy with her personal story.
