At around 5:30 PM today (August 3), a passenger car driven by a woman in her 50s, only identified by her surname A, collided with a train at the Majung No. 2 railway crossing between Imjinag Station and Uncheon Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

While the front bumper of the car and a part of the train were damaged in the accident, the four occupants of the car did not sustain serious injuries and were not transported to a hospital.

About 10 passengers on board the train were also uninjured and moved to Munsan Station using alternative transportation.

Police believe the accident occurred when A attempted to cross through the space next to the barrier while it was lowered for incoming train traffic.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
