A fire broke out at an apartment in Incheon yesterday, leaving one person injured.

According to the Incheon Fire Headquarters, the fire broke out at around 9:00 PM yesterday (August 2) on the 7th floor of a 22-story apartment building in Samsan-dong, Bupyeong-gu.

A man in his 70s inside the apartment suffered second-degree burns to his arm while trying to extinguish the fire himself and was transported to a hospital by 119 emergency responders.

Responding to reports of flames visible from outside the apartment, fire authorities deployed around 60 firefighters and approximately 20 pieces of equipment, including pumper trucks, and completely extinguished the fire at around 9:40 PM.

Fire authorities believe the fire originated from an electrical issue at a power outlet inside the home and plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the property damage.
