During the morning rush hour, a man lost consciousness and collapsed at a subway station.
As it happened, a police officer was passing by, and together with citizens, they saved the man through CPR.
The incident took place on the platform of Wangsimni Station at around 7:00 AM on July 15.
A man was coming down the escalator when he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed.
Citizens who witnessed this quickly moved the man from the end of the escalator to a safe place and checked his condition.
At that moment, a man pushed through the crowd and without hesitation began performing CPR.
The man was Senior Police Officer Lee Hyun-woo of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Urban Expressway Patrol Unit, who was on his way to work.
Following an exhausted Officer Lee, a nearby citizen took over the CPR, and another citizen subsequently lent a hand, ensuring that emergency first aid continued without interruption.
