As nationwide heatwaves continue, 72 people have been reported suffering from heat-related illnesses across the country.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, 72 additional heat-related illness patients were reported yesterday (August 1), bringing this year's cumulative number of patients to 1,781.
The cumulative death toll stands at 13.
Livestock damage from the heatwave reached approximately 432,000 animals, while farmed fish casualties totaled about 165,000.
