The kt wiz infield retired three batters at once to cleanly wrap up the top of the 5th inning during their home game against the Hanwha Eagles held at Suwon kt wiz park today.
With runners on first and second and nobody out, third baseman Huh Kyung-min fielded Han Ji-yoon's batted ball, stepped on third base, and threw to second baseman Kim Sang-soo to catch the runner advancing from first to second.
Kim Sang-soo then threw the ball to first base to also retire the batter-runner Han Ji-yoon.
This triple play marks the second of the year and is a rare feat that has only occurred 88 times in league history.
