Yuri of the group Girls' Generation (real name Kwon Yu-ri) is leaving SM Entertainment after 19 years since her debut.
SM announced today (the 31st), "After in-depth discussions with Kwon Yu-ri, we have mutually agreed to conclude our 19-year journey together as of August 31."
Yuri will continue her team activities even after the contract expiration.
SM stated, "Her activities as Girls' Generation will continue unchanged in the future."
Yuri debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007, receiving immense love as a top girl group with massive hits such as "Into the New World" and "Genie".
She later transitioned into acting and has been active in various fields, including acting and variety shows.
She also appeared in the play "THE WASP," which closed last April.
