"Russia Appears to Have Used North Korean Missiles in Ukraine Strike"... First Time in About a Year

Russia is estimated to have used North Korean-made missiles in an airstrike on Ukraine for the first time in about a year, Reuters reported on the 30th local time.

According to sources, overnight Russian attacks killed a family near the town of Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine, and it is highly likely that North Korean missiles were used in the attack.

In connection with this, Ukrainian authorities previously stated that six people, including two children, were killed.

Russia has previously been analyzed to have launched missiles such as the KN-23 (Hwasong-11a) and KN-24 (Hwasong-11b) into Ukraine.

The KN-23 is similar to Russia's Iskander missile, while the KN-24 is similar to the U.S. ATACMS.

The source noted, "Russia's resumption of North Korean-made missiles after a long hiatus suggests that it has newly replenished its arsenal as it intensifies missile attacks against Ukraine."
