SBS has been recognized for its competitiveness, winning across various categories including news, entertainment, and individual awards at the Korea Broadcasting Prizes.
The Korean Broadcasters Association announced 30 winning entries for the program categories and 15 individual award winners for the 53rd Korea Broadcasting Prizes today (July 30).
SBS's investigative reporting piece, "Kim Bom-suk's Kingdom, Tracking the Reality of Coupang," was selected for the program award in the news reporting category.
In addition, SBS's "Our Ballad" won the program award in the TV entertainment category, while individual awards went to Jeong Sun-hee of SBS's "TV Animal Farm" for the narration award and Lee Sook-young of SBS's "Lee Sook-young's Love FM" for the host award.
Other works named for program awards by category included MBC's drama "Judge Lee Han-young," MBC's "Rookie Manager Kim Yeon-koung," KBS's <Tracking 60 Minutes> "Lonely Deaths in South Korea: A 10-Year Record," and EBS Space Gonggam's "Pioneer Series."
A total of 30 program awards and 15 individual awards were selected for this year's Korea Broadcasting Prizes, and final winners for five categories, including best actor, entertainer, and singer, will be finalized on the 5th of next month following viewer voting.
The 53rd Korea Broadcasting Prizes ceremony commemorating Broadcasting Day will be held on September 3, and the grand prize winner will also be announced on that day.
