LG Uplus announced that it held a board of directors meeting today (July 29) and decided to acquire KRW 90 billion worth of treasury shares and expand dividends to enhance shareholder value.

Previously, LG Uplus has been implementing its corporate value-up plan, which included retiring KRW 180 billion worth of treasury shares from August of last year to May of this year.

This year's interim dividend has been set at 270 won per share, an increase of approximately 8% from the previous year.

The record date and the payment date for the dividend are set for the 13th and 28th of next month, respectively.

In addition, LG Uplus disclosed that it has decided to make an additional investment of approximately KRW 1.3 trillion to construct the second phase of its AI Data Center (DC) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

The first server building of the Paju AIDC, scheduled for completion in June of next year, has already been fully booked before its operation.

The company plans to use the additional investment to build the second and third server buildings and design the fourth server building to meet the growing demand for AI infrastructure.
