The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced today (the 29th) that it will conduct an intensive promotional campaign throughout August to prevent voice phishing damages, focusing on crowded vacation spots during the peak summer holiday season.

On August 7 and 8, the FSS, in collaboration with Jeonbuk Bank, will operate a voice phishing prevention promotional booth at the 30th Busan Sea Festival held at Dadaepo Beach in Busan.

Voice phishing prevention promotional videos will be broadcast for a month at the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors professional soccer stadium and Jeonbuk Bank branches.

The promotional videos will be displayed 100 times a day on large electronic billboards across 14 resorts nationwide frequently visited by family travelers. Related videos are also scheduled to be shown on large screens at 13 airports nationwide where holiday users concentrate, as well as on public transportation facilities such as KTX and subways.

The FSS stated, "We expect this campaign to actively inform the public about voice phishing methods and response guidelines at heavily trafficked nationwide facilities during the vacation season, thereby contributing to damage prevention."
