A police substation team leader at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station has been placed on leave over allegations of leaking the personal information of a person who reported a massage parlor.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced that it took disciplinary action to place Inspector A, a team leader at a local substation under its jurisdiction, on leave yesterday, July 28.
Inspector A is suspected of leaking the informant's information to the massage parlor regarding an illegal activity report filed against the business earlier this month.
Inspector A, who was found to have worked in the Women and Youth Division of the Gangnam Police Station until early this year, reportedly had personal ties with individuals associated with the establishment.
The Audit and Inspection Officer of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is currently investigating the specific allegations of misconduct against Inspector A.
