The People Power Party's Task Force on Innovation in Evaluation of Elected Officials held its first full meeting today (the 28th).
Secretary-General Jeong Hee-yong will head the task force as chairperson, with lawmaker Kang Dae-shik, lawmaker Kim Seung-su, lawmaker Jeong Dong-man, lawmaker Seo Chun-ho, party spokesperson Ham In-kyung, former Seoul Metropolitan Council member Lee Sang-wook, and former People Power Party nomination management committee member Lee Dong-geon participating as members.
The task force plans to design a system that establishes new evaluation rules, including the targets, criteria, and procedures for evaluating public officials.
The evaluation targets are incumbent elected officials belonging to the People Power Party, including members of the 22nd National Assembly and metropolitan and local government heads and council members elected in the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections.
During its active period, the task force plans to broadly gather opinions from elected party members and stakeholders, both inside and outside the party.
