At 12:35 a.m. today (July 27), an intercity bus collided with a compact car changing lanes on a road in Unseo-dong, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, before overturning on its side.
Five people, including the 60-year-old bus driver and four passengers, were injured in the accident and received first aid at the scene or were transported to a hospital by 119 emergency services.
Police believe the accident occurred when the bus driver swerved sharply to avoid the compact car as it changed lanes, and are investigating the exact circumstances.
A police official said, "The bus and the compact car did not collide forcefully," adding, "There were five people on board the bus at the time, including the driver, and all the injured have been classified as having minor injuries."
