At around 9:30 PM today (July 25), an SUV collided with a tank truck near the Munhak Interchange (IC) on the Second Gyeongin Expressway in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.
Immediately following the crash, the SUV successively struck two other passenger cars and overturned. Two people inside the SUV—a man in his 20s, who was driving, and a female passenger in her 20s—sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital.
In addition, lanes 1 and 2 out of the four-way one-way lanes were blocked, causing temporary traffic congestion.
Police believe the accident occurred when the SUV collided with the tank truck while changing lanes, and plan to investigate the exact circumstances.
A police official stated, "It was not a case of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs," adding, "The accident handling has now been completed."
