The Seoul Gangseo Police Station announced yesterday that it has requested an arrest warrant for a teenage male on charges of attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a female high schooler with a weapon in a residential area of Hwagok-dong, Seoul.
The suspect, identified as A, is accused of wielding a weapon against the female student in a multi-family housing area in Hwagok-dong at around 1:26 PM on the 23rd.
The victim, who suffered injuries to her abdomen, was transported to a hospital while conscious and received treatment.
It was reported that suspect A and the victim were acquaintances.
Police, who apprehended suspect A at the scene, plan to secure his custody and investigate the specific details of the incident.
